This week on Dezeen, UK studio Foster + Partners revealed its design for a 100,000-seat stadium for football club Manchester United.
Covered in a tent-like structure that extends over surrounding outdoor spaces, the stadium will be the biggest in the UK if it is built.
Following the announcement, we rounded up 10 ambitious football stadiums that are being planned around the world.

We continued our Art Deco Centenary series by looking at 15 of the most noteworthy examples of art deco architecture in the USA.
We also profiled Raymond Hood, the architect who defined the American skyscrapers of the early 20th century, and interviewed Vinterior founder Sandrine Zhang Ferron, who said that art deco sales on the site had tripled.

In design news, Jaguar’s controversial Type 00 concept car was spotted driving on the streets of Paris during fashion week.
A video released by the British car brand showed the car, finished in a previously unreleased colour called French Ultramarine, driving through the city’s streets.

We also interviewed the production designer of TV show Severance, who said that viewers are envious of the show’s retro-looking offices.
“There’s a corporate world that I personally really miss,” Hindle told Dezeen. “It’s sad that people just work at a desk in a cubicle with overhead lighting – a mundane space where you’re supposed to spend your whole day.”
“People want to be in places where you feel like you’re meant to be, where you have a function and a purpose,” he continued.

Popular projects this week include an art museum in Thailand, a sports facility in Switzerland with straw bail insulation and an experimental whisky lab in Scotland.
Our latest lookbooks featured butter-yellow homes and cat-friendly interiors.
